There’s a special place called Silfra Fissure and an old parliament spot. Next, visit Geysir Geothermal Area. Strokkur shoots hot water in the air, and there are bubbling hot springs. Then, see Kerid Crater, a big hole with blue water. You can walk around it or go down to see it close. Last is Gullfoss Waterfall, named “Golden Falls.” It’s a powerful waterfall in a deep canyon. About the Tour
Please allow up to 30 minutes for the bus to reach your location. We are collecting people from various places across the city which can take time.
Kerid Crater is like a giant hole in the ground with really pretty blue water at the bottom. It’s not too steep, so you can walk around the edge and see everything. If you want, you can even go down to the water. The colors are amazing, and it feels kind of magical. It’s not like a regular mountain or hill – it’s a special place with a big round shape, and the water makes it even more beautiful. People like to take pictures because it looks so cool.
Gullfoss is a grand waterfall in Iceland, about 32 meters (105 feet) wide, where the water drops down 11 meters (36 feet) into a deep canyon. It’s like a powerful curtain of nature, and when the sun shines, the water can sparkle like gold. Standing there, feeling the mist, you realize how big and amazing the world can be. Gullfoss is a magical place, a wide and tall wonder that shows the incredible beauty of Iceland’s landscapes.
Geysir is like a hot spring wonderland in Iceland with a cool history. It’s been doing its thing for a really long time, over a thousand years! The big hot spring, also called Geysir, used to shoot hot water way up into the sky, but now it’s a bit more laid-back.
Now, the star of the show is Strokkur, a smaller geyser that shoots up hot water and steam regularly, like a natural water fountain. Every 5–10 minutes, it puts on a cool display for everyone to see.
When you visit Geysir, you get to watch Strokkur doing its thing and explore the bubbling hot springs and colorful spots around. It’s like a magical place where you can see the Earth’s hot and steamy side.
Þingvellir National Park in Iceland is like a special place where history and nature come together. People started meeting there over a thousand years ago in the year 930 AD! They made decisions about laws and important stuff in a spot called Alþingi, which is like an ancient parliament.
One super cool thing is that Þingvellir is where two big parts of the Earth, called tectonic plates, meet. You can walk in the crack between them! The park is full of green fields, a big lake called Þingvallavatn, and even a snorkeling spot called Silfra Fissure, where the water is super clear.
So, when you go to Þingvellir, it’s not just about nature being awesome; it’s also like stepping into the history of Iceland, where important decisions were made a really, really long time ago.
A national treasure, Þingvellir is a great place to learn about Iceland’s history and heritage, especially if you are interested in Vikings, and how the laws of the land came about. In 2004, Þingvellir National Park was listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
After Thingvellir, we drive back to Reykjavík.
Drop off will be at the same spot you were collected from earlier in the day.
