About the Tour
Nestled beneath the majestic Thingvellir National Park, the Silfra Fissure stands as a testament to nature’s unparalleled beauty. Renowned as one of the world’s top diving destinations, it beckons adventurers with its crystal-clear glacial waters and stunning emerald plant life adorning the rocky terrain below. What makes Silfra truly unique is its location along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet, allowing divers to literally swim between continents.
As you descend into the depths of Silfra, enveloped in a snug dry suit, the sheer clarity of the water may momentarily take your breath away. Yet, as you acclimate to the temperature, a mesmerizing turquoise world unfolds before you. Divided into four distinct sections – the Silfra Deep Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon – each part offers its own enchanting vistas. The Silfra Lagoon, in particular, captivates with its expansive waters, granting divers a breathtaking view extending over 100 meters in every direction.
Silfra isn’t just a diving site; it’s a sanctuary of awe and wonder, igniting a passion for exploration that lingers long after you resurface. Dive into this unforgettable experience, let it stir your senses, and leave you yearning for more adventures beneath the waves.
