Next, we will head towards Arnarstapi, an amiable fishing village, where you can have your lunch. You can also visit Vatnshellir Cave with a guide or the Malarrif visitor center and its lighthouse by paying extra charges. At the end of the day, we will visit Djúpalónssandur, a black sand beach with shipwreck remnants, before residing at the Hellissandur Adventure Hótel or similar. In late September and early April, you will also get a chance to see the Northern Lights if weather permits.

We will continue moving towards Reykholt, with the aim of seeing Snorralaug, the historic hot spring pool. If you are keen to explore more and relax at Krauma Geothermal Baths, then pay extra charges. If we have spare time, then we can also visit Sturlureykir horse farm to meet Icelandic horses. Finally, we’ll visit Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, known for its high-temperature and impressive water flow.

Next, stand in awe at Thingvellir National Park, where you can experience the unique geological wonder of being between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. This UNESCO World Heritage Site also holds historical significance as the site of Iceland’s first parliament, founded in 930 CE.
Our journey concludes at Gullfoss, the Golden Falls, where the Hvita river plunges dramatically through a rugged canyon, creating a stunning mist that shimmers like gold. Driving along the Ring Road, we’ll catch a glimpse of the volcano Hekla before arriving at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. A short walk will take us behind the waterfall for a unique view, and if weather permits, we might see a rainbow. Remember to bring waterproof clothing. If conditions are right, we’ll look for the Northern Lights before heading to our hotel near Kirkjubæjarklaustur for a restful night.

Our journey continues to Skaftafell and Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. With the help of our certified glacier guide, we’ll embark on a glacier hike, equipped with ice crampons. We’ll explore vibrant ice formations, including crevasses, moulins, and ice caves. Remember to dress warmly for the icy temperatures. After our glacier adventure, we’ll stay overnight in Kirkjubæjarklaustur. If the skies are clear, we’ll look out for the Northern Lights.

- Less than 14 days before trip departure: 50% refund of the total tour price. The remaining 50% is non-refundable to cover direct costs incurred.
