During the tour, your guide will keep on sharing the information and stories about the legends of Iceland and the northern lights. After arriving at the destination, we have to spot the best spot, allowing you to stretch your legs while waiting for the lights to appear. You can ask your guide for advice on the best camera settings which you can use while trying to capture the Icelandic northern lights.
- Hot chocolate and light refreshments:
Before starting the Northern Lights Tour, keep in mind that you might have to wait in the cold for a while to see this captivating view. Our guide will help you to pass this time with freshly made hot chocolate and light refreshments free of cost.
We really hope that the lights appear at the first location of the tour; otherwise, we may venture to other location to see the view. Our team at Tourism Iceland pledges to do everything possible to make your northern lights dream come true.
- In case of no lights:
Even with weather forecasts and experienced guides, sometimes the northern lights are not visible. Obviously, this is a natural phenomenon and therefore not always visible even when we try our level best.
In case you don’t see the lights during your tour, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. You have three nights to try seeing the northern lights in your tour plan, FOR FREE! Your tour guide will let you know about the details.
- Central Reykjavík:
At the end of the tour, we will drop you back in Reykjavík to the same location from which you were picked.
Pick Up Option
- We offer optional pickup service only from Reykjavík city, so book it at the time of making reservations. It starts from 8:00 am to 8:30 am, based on your location. We ask our customers to send us their exact pickup location at least 24 hours before their tour departure. Otherwise, we won’t be responsible in case you will miss the departure.
- We start pick-ups at the scheduled departure time mentioned in your voucher, but you can also take up to 30 minutes. All the passengers are asked to be ready at their listed location so we can easily be seen.
Cancellation Policy
- You can make cancellations for all types of Day Tours via email.
- Cancellation should be done at least 24 hours before the departure, and you will get a full-payment refund.
- Cancellations that are made less than 24 hours before the planned departure time will not be refunded.
- If the tour gets cancelled due to severe weather, hazardous driving routes, or any other similar situation, then we will offer you to book alternate activities or reschedule your tour at different dates or else you will get a full refund.
