About Tour

Join our unforgettable Silfra Snorkeling Tour and swim between two continents in one of the clearest waters on Earth. Located in Iceland’s famous rift valley, Silfra offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to snorkel directly between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

This small-group guided tour includes round-trip transfer from Reykjavík, professional snorkeling equipment, and free underwater GoPro photos.

The incredible Silfra Fissure is located inside Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, crystal-clear glacial meltwater from Langjökull Glacier filters through volcanic lava rock for decades before reaching Silfra, creating visibility of over 100 meters.

Itinerary

Your Silfra Snorkeling Tour begins with pickup in Reykjavík. After a scenic 50-minute drive to Þingvellir National Park, your certified guide will provide safety instructions and help you gear up in a thermal undersuit and drysuit.

Once prepared, you’ll take a short walk to Silfra and enter the crystal-clear water. Floating effortlessly in the drysuit, you’ll drift through stunning underwater canyons, vibrant blue formations, and dramatic rock walls created by shifting tectonic plates.

The water temperature remains around 2–4°C year-round, but the drysuit keeps most participants warm and comfortable.

After the tour, your guide will send you professional GoPro photos capturing your experience.
