Overview
Experience the magic of Iceland’s land and sea creatures with our combo tour that includes a puffin tour on a smaller boat to an island breeding ground for thousands of birds, and a whale watching tour that takes you further into the bay to catch a glimpse of some of the most incredible whales such as humpbacks, minkes, and playful dolphins that inhabit our bay.
Join us on a thrilling boat adventure to witness Iceland’s marine wildlife firsthand. Our puffin watching tour takes you to Akurey, Engey, or Lundey, the top destinations for abundant birdlife including puffins, eider ducks, arctic terns, guillemots, and cormorants. Our expert captains know the best spots to get close to the puffins in their natural habitat. During the 1-hour tour, our crew will share interesting facts and tales about the puffins and their surroundings. If the conditions are favorable, we might even turn off the engines to maximize your nature experience and listen to the bird’s calls.
During the summer season, the bay comes alive with wildlife making it the perfect time for whale watching. Our tour gives you a rare opportunity to see the Minke whales in their natural habitat, along with the playful white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises. Overall, the whale watching tour lasts around 3 hours, providing enough time to witness these majestic creatures and understand them better.
